After GREAT success at our second edition of House Exchange in collaboration with Jaeger and MUNCH, we are back with this year's very last House Exchange. With continuous gratitude and respect towards the legacy and values that house music and house dance culture hold, we have been working on something extra special to strengthen our presence within the club environment. Without further ado, presenting our guest and a House Dance culture pioneer: Sekou Heru.Sekou Heru (US)

Tony “Sekou Heru” Williams, hailing from Trenton, New Jersey, and now residing in Brooklyn, New York, represents the iconic "Dance Fusion NYC" crew. His passion for dance began with B-boying, and during his high school years at Mercer County School of the Arts, he expanded his skills by studying modern dance. In 1993, Sekou embarked on learning Capoeira Angola under Mestre João Grande at the Capoeira Academy in New York City.
Over time, he combined elements of breaking and modern dance with hip-hop and house dance to develop his own unique style.
Sekou's dance career includes working alongside renowned artists such as Gwen Guthrie, touring with Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, and featuring in music videos for artists like Aretha Franklin, MC Lyte, Clubland, Pet Shop Boys, Foxy Brown, and Jay-Z. His film credits include being a featured dancer in Marcy X alongside Damon Wayans, and appearing in dance scenes in Spike Lee’s The 25th Hour and the movie Brown Sugar, starring Taye Diggs and Sanaa Lathan. He has also toured in Germany with rapper Tony Cottura and made several trips to Japan, where he served as a guest judge and performer at the prestigious Dance Delight event, representing Dance Fusion NYC crew, the group he founded. And is also a member of Mop Top Foundation, and co-director of the Mop Top Universal Streetdance program at Peridance Center. He has also performed as the opening act for
CeCe Peniston’s tour in Japan and for DJ Kool's "Let Me Clear My Throat" performance.
Sekou has been a key figure in the house dance scene since the late 1980s, honing his craft in legendary clubs like The Tunnel, The World, The Original Sound Factory, Red Zone, Kilimanjaro’s, The Octagon, Base Line, The Choice, Shelter, Club 88, and the iconic Club Zanzibar.

In honour of having such an eminent artist at the event, we are putting a spin on House Exchange Vol. 3. The concept focuses on the exchange, the listening, being present in the moment with the music and being true to yourself. Sekou will nominate a winning couple at the end of the exchange with a symbolic cash prize of 1000. So bring your best and may the best couple win. Max 10 participants, first come first serve principle so don’t be late! couples are paired up randomly and dope house music is served by our residents DJ Ghar and DJ Niwin.
We are really lucky and grateful to have MUDs very own Chriz with us as a host, to set the right mood and atmosphere for the evening.
While this initiative is created with a wish to uplift the local House Dance community, all movement lovers, styles and practices are welcome to join in. Our aim is to create an open space where dancers can exchange, release, and express a diverse selection of House Music. Not ready for the Exchange and just want to jam? Not to worry, as jam sessions are an essential and inclusive part of our events.
And as always, we are super grateful to be collaborating with Oslo's underground mainstay, club Jaeger Oslo. Their Funktion-One sound system is a reason alone to attend this event. After the MUD Sessions event, Frædag concept continues with a top-notch booking: Frædag x Rinse 30: Samba Boys. Rinse FM celebrates 30 years in 2024 with the tour making a stop
at Jaeger. All the bells and whistles on this line-up, featuring: g-HA, Charlotte Bendiks, Øyvind Morken, Pavel Plastikk and Dara Woo in the sauna. And headliner Samba Boys, Olanskii and Takt in the basement
