EVENT INFO
-Entry Fee: $40
-Format: Sealed (Pre-Release Kit)
-Capped @ 3 Rounds
-Prelease kits will be randomly distributed to attendees at the start of the event.
-If kits run out, players may opt to use six Play Booster packs to participate in events.
EVENT FORMAT
Unlike constructed games, where you arrive with a strategically created deck, Sealed games have you build a new deck from six unopened booster packs. Additionally, you may add as many basic lands (Plains, Islands, Swamps, Mountains, and Forests) as you’d like, even if they weren’t in the booster packs you opened.
At the conclusion of deck building, players will take part in a three-round Swiss tournament. The first round will consist of random pairings from the players in attendance. Each round after that will be based on the previous round’s results.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
Attention Students of Strixhaven! The professors at Four Horsemen Comics and Gaming have arranged a few tests that will determine your magic skills!
Each student may choose to complete a Magical Scavenger Hunt around the store! Use your wizard’s intuition to find hidden clues, avoid traps, and discover the secrets they hold. Use the clues you discover to solve the magical puzzle and be eligible for an incredible treasure!
Or, for our more academic students, our Strixhaven History Professor will host a POP QUIZ! Use your skills and test your knowledge of Magic: The Gathering for the chance at an additional prize!
Participate and succeed in either of these side events to receive bonus entries into a raffle drawing for epic prizes! For completing the Pop Quiz, players will be entered into a raffle for a Secrets of Strixhaven Play Booster Box at the end of each event. For completing the Scavenger Hunt, players will be entered into a raffle for a Secrets of Strixhaven Collector Booster Box to be given away after the weekend’s events have concluded!
PRIZING
At the conclusion of the event, all players will be awarded one booster pack for participating in the event. Additionally, players will be awarded one pack per match win (maximum of three packs) based on their final standings.
