For the first time ever, villages across Palghar will host a grand cultural festival, bringing their rich artistic traditions and heritage to the forefront.From February 28 to March 2, 2025, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) presents Experience Palghar: Colours of Culture, Imprints of Tradition, a pioneering initiative that transforms villages into living cultural destinations. This is a landmark moment for Palghar, as its communities come together to showcase their indigenous art forms, crafts, performances, and way of life in an immersive festival spread across Bapugaon, Ganjad, and Gholwad.
Festival Highlights:
1. Warli Art at Bapugaon & Ganjad – Experience the heart of Warli culture, meet the artists, and witness live storytelling through intricate paintings.
2. Bamboo Craft at Gholwad – Engage with artisans who skillfully shape bamboo into exquisite handcrafted products.
3. Bohada Mask Tradition from Jawhar – A rare exhibit of the stunning paper-mâché masks used in sacred tribal festivals.
4. Tribal Dance & Music – Enjoy performances of Tarpa, Ghor, and Sambal dances, pulsating with the beats of Sehnai, Dhumsa, and other indigenous instruments.
