Taking the next step into overnight hiking can be very rewarding and a lot of fun. It’s important to be prepared and feel confident so you have an awesome experience! This is your chance to give overnight hiking a go with our Off The Beaten Track WA Guides who will assist you, educate you and answer any questions you may have.Off The Beaten Track WA will lead you on a hike along the Bibbulmun Track through mixed jarrah forest from Sullivan Rock to Mt Cooke Campsite. After setting up camp at Mt Cooke, you will enjoy dinner to the sound of the black cockatoos song. As the sun goes down we will light the campfire and enjoy the mesmerising flames, warmth and ambience as the cool night air sets in.
On day two we will leave the heavy packs at camp and head on up to the summit of Mt Cooke and hike along the ridge to the elusive Mt Cooke Cave before returning to camp for lunch. After we have recharged, we’ll hike back to Sullivan Rock together. The comradery of a group Overnight Hike is like no other! The sense of achievement you will gain from this experience is very fulfilling!

Tour Terrain & Experience Level
Distance: Total hike distance over 2 days is approximately 20kms. The trail is mixed terrain but majority of the hike is quite gentle. There are a couple of inclines/declines but very manageable. We’ll be going a pace where everyone can enjoy the journey as well as the destination.

What to Bring?
🧡What to Bring? As a rough guide you will require a tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, stove, pots & stove gas, liner, pillow, clothes, toiletries, 3ltrs water, and a pack big enough to put it all in (55-65ltr).
🧡Gear Hire: OTBT has tents, sleeping mats, stove & pot sets, 65ltr backpacks available to hire. Please add gear on the extras page as you move through the booking process. Please note you will be required to pay a refundable bond on hired equipment. The bond fee is dependent on the equipment hired. Equipment can be collected from our “Basecamp” in Serpentine the week of the tour.

Booking & Cancellation Policy
Payment: To secure your place on this tour you can either pay in full or pay a 20% deposit. With the balance due 30 days prior to tour departure. Payment requests will be emailed at intervals leading up to your departure to make paying off the balance more manageable.
