About this Event
The San Antonio Spartans were established in 2010 by a small group of bleeding-green Michigan State University Alumni. Since then, we have grown significantly and have established 2 scholarships for Bexar area students attending MSU. Each fall, a new student, and a current student, are each awarded a scholarship, based upon financial need. No application is necessary for our students, just the ambition to attend MSU!
We gather at Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux to watch most MSU basketball games. You can find their menu at https://locate.walk-ons.com/tx/sanantonio/restaurants-13.html We do out best to ensure seating and sound but, there are no guarantees, first come-first sat. Feel free to arrive 15 minutes before the game to sign in, make your name tag, and find a seat. At half-time your game watch host will make a few announcements, before passing out a few prizes to randomly selected guests.
Our club not only fundraises for scholarships and watches basketball but, we support our local community as well. We have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Haven for Hope, the Animal Defense League, the SA Food Bank, SA Parks & Recreation, and the Veteran's Administration.
