You'll get to enjoy various forms of art and learn about cultures from all over the world. After that, we'll be having a picnic nearby!
About this Event

Come on a trip with us to visit the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), where you'll be able to walk around and enjoy art from cultures across the world, as well as from different time periods! Most of the internal gallery is free but if you'd like to, you can also book tickets for a couple of their paid galleries: Women Photographers 1900–1975 and Westwood | Kawakubo. Ticketed events go for around AUD$20–40. After that, we'll head on over to the Royal Botanic Gardens (RBG) to wind down, eat, and play some games.
📅 Date: 9th Feb 2026
🕖 Start time: 12:00 PM @ Monash Bus Loop; 1:00 PM @ front of NGV
🕖 End time: 5:00 PM @ RBG

Hosted by Tony, one of our amazing Mega Hosts from our Social Events Leadership program, and a bunch of our brilliant MSA Volunteers.

This event is hosted by MSA Volunteering: Social Events program. This leadership program was established in 1974 and aims to socialise and orient new Monash students before Week 0. MSA Trips and Events is a volunteer leadership program that provides Monash students with an opportunity to meet other students before their first day on campus. The events we run are fun, inexpensive and accessible, to provide safe spaces where students can meet other students, who they may never have bumped into otherwise. We welcome all new and returning Monash students (Domestic, International, and Exchange students) from all Monash Campuses, as well as returning students who wish to take part.

If you are interested in becoming an MSA Volunteer, please visit our website.
