Mr Shay presents Draft One: Poetry & Hip Hop Night

Leicester's Poet Laureate shares poems from his first draft book. Draft One is a work in progress poetry collection featuring some of Shay's iconic poems and a whole stack of freshly penned pieces.

The night will feature a live DJ spinning Hip Hop bangers, a headline set by Mr Shay, along with opportunities for Leicester's poets and MCs to jump on the m.i.c. (Please arrive at 7pm to add your name to the open mic list. Names will be picked out at random).

The backdrop of the night is Leicester's Moonshine, an ornate speakeasy transporting you to the smokey bars of the New Orleans jazz scene. An intimate setting perfect for letting every word land.

Copies of Draft One will be available for purchase at £5 on the night.
