We’ve been bringing the Scruffy fella to The Small Town for well over 25years, in that time Mr Scruff has delivered some of the most memorable DJ sets ever heard in Dundee town.

Manchester-based Mr. Scruff is a producer, cartoonist and cross-genre selector who lives for long, exploratory and eclectic sets that can range from deep soul/funk/disco/reggae/ska/afro/jazz/latin/bhangra/hip-hop to the rougher regions of electro/house/new wave/garage/techno/electronic/D&B, often all in the same evening.
Scruff loves a good sound system, mixed crowds, concrete slabs in the booth, dark venues, sound checks, geeking out, and is a big fan of early gigs
A sound obsessive who likes to get in the venue early to set up and sound check, he has been bringing his mixer, effects, vinyl (unless he is playing upside down on a windy boat), cables, a sound engineer and some boiled eggs with a large dose of cheek and good humour for over 25 years.
His all-night DJ sets cover a massive range of styles, moods and eras.
