In the second Concert of their 2026 series, Lincoln Pro Musica performs the music of Mozart, Beethoven and Mahler at the Assembly Rooms.
About this Event

Lincoln Pro Musica Orchestra performs a concert of Orchestral Music in the beautiful setting, and warm acoustics of the ballroom at the Lincoln Assemby Rooms.

Mozart’s exuberant Paris Symphony (K297) opens the concert. It is followed by the 'Adagietto' from Mahler’s fifth symphony - made famous as the music from the movie ‘Death in Venice’

The concert ends with the first of two ballets in our 2026 concert series, Beethoven’s ‘Creatures of Prometheus’ . This is Beethoven's only ballet, composed in 1801 at the time of his 2nd Symphony. The overture is generally better known to modern audiences and Lincoln Pro Musica Orchestra performs this, together with more excerpts from the ballet in the second half of the concert.
