Join us for a two hour exploration through music and movement focusing on the daily lifestyle choices we make. We all have health goals. We utilize many tools to keep ourselves on track. There are times we succeed. There are times when we don’t.
My goal is to create a space where we can approach these aspects of our lives with play and ease and also tap into the inner wisdom of our bodies. I am bringing my six year experience of Open Floor teaching and fifteen years of my registered dietitian work together in this class.
This first class will be on habits. Habits we have formed. Habits that work. Habits that don’t work. We’ll meet those habits that don’t work and will find different approach to them.
We’ll move, we’ll write, we’ll debrief.
Bring comfortable clothes to move in, layers are always good, a pillow to sit on, journal and pen to write with, and a water bottle.
The space is a sweet cosy studio on The Alameda in San Jose.

About facilitator:my name is Taisiya (pronounced Ta-‘ee-see’ya). The name is phonetic. The name is Russian. I was introduced to conscious dance about 15 years ago and I haven’t stopped dancing since. Movement practice has become one of my main teachers in my personal life. Six years ago I have become Open Floor teacher and have been facilitating since. I’ve also been a registered dietitian for 15 years with majority of my work experience in outpatient nutrition counseling. I believe movement practice such as Open Floor has so much potential for tapping into the wisdom of our bodies and making habit changes a real embodied experience. Join me for a playful and fun inquiry through movement. While it’s not a magic solution, one thing is certain - you’ll get to consciously move your body.
