Moving with Grief supports community members who are experiencing loss and grief with free monthly yoga, gentle movement, meditation, sound healing and guided relaxation sessions.Yoga and related disciplines have the potential to offer a healing path to people experiencing loss and grief. The practices offered can provide momentary solace but are also tools for long-term transformation. They can shift how we see death, how we live with loss and difficult emotions, and they can connect us to a supportive community.
Join us for the next gathering in the Moving with Grief series with Michelle from Vitality Moves and Denis from Random Acts of Yoga. We will create a safe and supportive space together, where we can connect to ourselves and share with others.
Michelle, an experienced Qigong and movement facilitator, will introduce you to Qigong. This session will include gentle, flowing movements with breath awareness, exploring qi-energy and also some meditation, bringing a sense of restoration and calm to your being.
As with all our sessions, no previous experience is necessary.
We will enjoy an afternoon tea following the session - an opportunity to connect and be with each other in a relaxed and beautiful environment.
All offerings are open to anyone in the community who is experiencing loss and grief. Grief comes in many different shapes and doesn’t always involve the death of a person close to us. We can grieve the loss of friendships, changes around our work or purpose. Everyone is welcome to participate in this program, regardless of the nature of their grief.
