About this Event
Join us for the second of two Moving Montgomery Forward transportation forums for county executive candidates.
The GOP candidate forum will take place Thursday, May 28, from 7:00-8:30pm at the Bethesda Chevy Chase Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda, and hear the Republican candidates for County Executive discuss transportation-related issues. (The first Moving Montgomery Forward candidate forum for Democratic primary candidates took place on April 14th. Watch the recording here.)
As voters in Montgomery County, we are critically interested in learning the views of candidates running for County Executive on the important transportation issues facing us. We will address questions such as:
- Will the next County Executive invest more in Vision Zero? In Bikeshare?
- Will the next Executive increase investments in RideOn and dedicated bus lanes, protected bike lanes, and traffic calming measures?
- How will the next Executive approach policies that can support alternate travel modes and reduce car dependency?
- How will the next County Executive improve safe access to Purple Line stations?
The forum will include a chance for you to ask your transportation-related questions that evening.
