About this Event
This experience uses movement as a doorway into deeper awareness. We begin with 30 minutes of high-intensity movement on a spin bike. Guided by rhythm, breath, and music, the body shifts into a more open, receptive state—where insight and emotion can emerge in ways that thinking alone often cannot reach.
From that activated place, following the ride, members will receive a writing prompt designed to tap into the emotions, images, or reflections stirred during the exercise.
We close with shared reflection, where participants are invited to witness one another and be witnessed in return.
Together, movement, music, writing, and group process create space for insight, emotional release, and authentic connection.
No experience with spin or writing is necessary—only a willingness to show up, move, and reflect.
Who I am: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Santa Cruz, working with adults, couples, and families. I have also had a lifelong relationship with movement—as a soccer player, triathlete, former spin instructor, and corporate wellness coordinator.
Over time, I began to notice that movement and breath don’t just change the body—they shift consciousness. They create openings for clarity, emotional release, and new ways of thinking.
From this understanding, I explored the idea of Exercise-Induced Altered States Therapy, an approach that blends movement with therapeutic processing to help individuals access deeper layers of awareness.
This group is an invitation into that space—where the body becomes a pathway to insight, integration, and transformation.
