As part of our Gothic Winter Film Series, the historic Majestic Theatre in Conway, NH, will host a special screening of Guillermo del Toro’s dark masterpiece,Pan’s Labyrinth.
This 2006 cinematic masterpiece is set against the brutal backdrop of post-Civil War Spain in 1944, the visually stunning dark fantasy follows young Ofelia as she explores a mysterious stone labyrinth to escape the harsh realities of her life under a cruel stepfather. There, she encounters a mythical faun who tasks her with three perilous challenges to prove her royal lineage, creating a surreal journey that blurs the lines between myth and reality. Because this is a Spanish-language film, it will be presented in its original language with English subtitles.
