Movie - The Sheep Detectives
The Sheep Detectives is a 2026 mystery-comedy film directed by Kyle Balda, based on the 2005 novel Three Bags Full. It follows a flock of book-loving sheep who take it upon themselves to investigate the mysterious death of their beloved shepherd.
George (Hugh Jackman) is a kind-hearted shepherd who spends his evenings reading mystery novels aloud to his flock, assuming the animals can't understand a word. When George is found dead under highly suspicious circumstances, the flock realizes they have unknowingly been trained in the art of detective work. Venturing outside their peaceful pasture, the sheep must gather clues, interrogate human suspects, and prove they are brilliant crime-solvers.
