This event is in support of a non-profit organizaiton, New Beginnings Reentry Services, that specializes in Pr*son rehabilition. Ticket sales will be donated to their cause. Please read more below:
New Beginnings Reentry Services (NBRS) is dedicated to providing trauma-informed reentry and rehabilitation services for adults returning to the community after incarceration. NBRS began as a residential reentry program for women, created as a healing-centered alternative to traditional halfway houses. The residential model provided a safe, supportive environment that helped participants avoid triggers associated with previous lifestyles while building the skills needed for independence. Due to funding challenges and legislative barriers, NBRS transitioned from a live-in program to a day center model. This evolution allows the organization to continue its mission, offering second chances, fostering resilience, and creating pathways to meaningful, sustainable lives for system-impacted individuals.
Now, operating as an "adult reentry day center" serving all genders, NBRS offers a comprehensive range of supports designed to promote healing, stability, and long-term success. Services include financial literacy, workforce and career development, substance use counseling, therapy grounded in trauma-informed care, computer literacy, and holistic programming such as Culinary Arts training, Art Therapy, and Music Therapy. Together, these services aim to reduce recidivism and support successful community reintegration.
