About the movie:

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation followsClark Griswold as he tries to create the perfect family Christmas, but his plans are consistently ruined by a series of mishaps. His efforts to bring his and his wife Ellen's families together are complicated by uninvited guests like his obnoxious cousin Eddie, and his struggles with decorating the house. Clark becomes increasingly unhinged, especially after his boss reneges on the Christmas bonus he needs, leading to a final chaotic climax that includes Cousin Eddie kidnapping the boss.
