ABOUT THE VENUE
WHAMMY! Analog Media is a cult-favorite VHS hub in LA - part microcinema, part hangout, part nostalgia playground. Walls of old tapes, analog vibes, and a cozy, DIY energy that makes it the perfect place for an intimate movie night.
ABOUT THE MOVIE
King’s Cup follows Owen Parker, a washed-up emo rockstar turned office drone, who spirals when he gets a wedding invite from his long lost ex. Convinced he still has one last shot, he dusts off his guitar and fixates on writing the perfect song before it’s too late.
What starts as a romantic hail mary turns into a funny, bittersweet, and painfully relatable look at heartache, missed potential, and the fear that life is quietly moving on without you.
Scrappy and intimate, King’s Cup is about chasing nostalgia and figuring out when to let go.

REVIEWS
“What could have been a cliché premise instead plays like an open-mic confession: raw, funny, and surprisingly tender.”
Film Focus Online
“It all does an excellent job of encompassing that feel of missing the boat, that life is moving forward without you, which is definitely something most people can sympathise with.”
Film Carnage
“The film captures that tension perfectly - between who we once were and who we’ve become, between holding on and letting go.”
