About this Event
You will be guided through a variety of fun movement patterns and skills - varying difficulty and plenty of progressions will allow you to learn at your own pace while being able to find joy in this movement experience.
Who is this workshop for (everyone! but let's get more specific):
- current and former dancers
- bored gym-goers
- pole fitness folks
- aerialists
- martial artists
- yogis
- circus folks
And anyone else who simply wants to try some new ways of moving and learning some cool fun moves!
The aim of this workshop is to equip you with the basic and intermediate elements of floor locomotions, floor work, and soft acrobatics (Think accessible, yet challenging funky adultobatics!).
Through this workshop, you will gain practical tools to build your own enjoyable physical practice that's playful, grounding, and meditative.
Workshop content:
Floor locomotions - this section is focused on moving on all fours in funky and creative ways. We'll explore crab walks, bear crawls, and many other movement patterns.
Floorwork - introduction to several gentle rolling techniques and further exploration of modified floor locomotions that allow for more creativity and freedom of movement.
Soft acrobatics - this is my favourite section! I will introduce you to the world of low-impact soft acrobatics like cartwheels, more rolling, and how to break down more complex movement patterns in a safe and accessible way. Even though this part might sound a bit scary, especially for someone without an acrobatic background, all participants will be able to work at their own pace and fitness level while learning new skills.
Each section will consist of three parts: isolation, integration, and improvisation. This means that we'll start by learning individual moves, then start working on building movement flows and sequences, and finally, we'll learn how to improvise with those skills working towards grounding flow states.
Everyone will be encouraged and supported to gently step outside their comfort zones to learn new skills and sequences. Above all, the aim is to have a lot of fun, learn to move in unique ways, and get creative with our bodies.
Note: Limited spots available, so secure your place now!
Workshop add-on: you'll receive 3 playlists with most of the moves you'll learn during the workshop, tutorials on how to do them and examples of sequences for your practice after the workshop.

What people who attended this workshop say:
Nadine (workshop participant)
'I can highly recommend working with Kuba. I did the Movement Workshop and it was fantastic. Kuba is a great communicator and makes things seem totally achievable. Suitable for all levels. I have a severe AI disease with lots of joint issues and this session helped me move comfortably through a really wide variety of movement patterns. More able students got loads from the session too! If you get a chance to do this workshop go for it!'
Zuza (workshop participant)
'Movement workshop was a good experience. I learnt some great mobility drills, and free flow was pure freedom for movement. Liberating from rigid rep counting. 😄'
