Move with the Mayor – San Luis Obispo’s Community Fitness Initiative
Move with the Mayor is a city-wide wellness initiative uniting the Mayor of San Luis Obispo, Erica A. Stewart, with local fitness leader Mike Z. Robinson of MZR Fitness. Together, they’re inspiring residents of all ages to move more, live healthier, and strengthen the heart of the SLO community—one workout at a time.
Designed to be free, inclusive, and accessible, Move with the Mayor brings families, youth, and neighbors together through fun outdoor workouts, simple weekly fitness challenges, and school visits that emphasize lifelong healthy habits. This initiative reflects San Luis Obispo’s commitment to community wellness, family fitness, and active living—making SLO an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Monthly Community Workouts (All of 2026)
- Free, all-ages outdoor workouts once a month throughout 2026
- Led by MZR Fitness with Mayor Erica A. Stewart participating
- Fun, welcoming, and scalable for all fitness levels
- Family Workout Kickoff: January 24th, 9:00–10:00 AM
- Open to the public and centered on San Luis Obispo community fitness
Weekly Fitness Challenges & Tips
- Simple, easy-to-implement weekly fitness challenges
- Practical wellness tips shared on Move with the Mayor Instagram & Facebook
- Designed to keep SLO families active between community workouts
School Visits Across SLO
- Mike Z. Robinson and Mayor Erica A. Stewart will tour local elementary schools throughout 2026
- Focused on teaching kids the importance of health, fitness, and confidence
- Supporting youth wellness across San Luis Obispo
