Mounted archery clinic
2-Day Mounted Archery Clinic
Join us for an immersive two-day experience in mounted archery rooted in the Lajos Kassai system, blending ancient warrior traditions with modern training techniques.
This clinic is designed for both beginners and intermediate riders/archers who want to deepen their connection with the horse, refine intuitive archery skills, and experience the thrill of
shooting from horseback.

Day 1 & Day 2 Overview
Morning Session – Ground Training & Archery Fundamentals
● Intuitive Archery Training: Learn the core principles of mounted archery using
instinctive shooting techniques without sights. Develop precision, speed, and focus.
● Formation Exercises on Foot: Practice discipline, synchronization, and awareness
through foot formations, simulating group movement and battlefield coordination.
● Ground-based Conditioning: Warm-up routines and reflex drills that build the
foundation for mounted archery.
Afternoon Session – Horse Integration & Mounted Practice
● Horse Desensitization Exercises: Build trust and communication with your horse
through groundwork that prepares them for the sights and sounds of archery.
● Balancing & Movement on Horseback: Engage in exercises designed to improve
rider balance, posture, and mobility in the saddle, both at a standstill and in motion.
● Mounted Archery Practice: Put it all together—shoot from horseback at various
gaits while maintaining flow and control, guided by Kassai methodology and
principles.
✅ Open to:
● Riders with basic horse-handling experience
● Archers (or total beginners!) excited to learn a warrior’s art
● Anyone interested in ancient traditions, modern methods, and a seriously fun
challenge
