Mountains of the Moon Film Premier and Art Experience

World-renowned artist, skier, and filmmaker Chris Benchetler proudly announces world premiere dates for Mountains of the Moon, a genre-defying, transformative film and immersive art experience set to the iconic music of the Grateful Dead. The global tour for Mountains of the Moon will kick off with a week-long premiere in Los Angeles on November 15, 2025. The activation, in partnership with Arc’teryx, will provide guests with an opportunity to step into a surreal museological experience that showcases how the Mountains of the Moon project was brought to life, both in process and in inspiration.

• The multidimensional and immersive art experience and film premiere take viewers on a visual and musical journey alongside world-class action sports athletes, covering snow, water, and land.
• The film is narrated by renowned mycologist and author Paul Stamets, and features a euphoric Grateful Dead soundtrack. 
• Guests attending the event can explore four main spaces, including a behind-the-scenes archival display of the film’s production; a light-based installation in which illuminated objects from the film are the light sources; a recreation of Benchetler’s personal art studio; and, lastly, a sensorial LED sculpture garden.
