The Mountain City Fiddlers' Convention is a two-day festival celebrating a century of Old-Time and Bluegrass music traditions. Held on October 3-4, 2025, at Heritage Hall Theatre Square in Mountain City, Tennessee, the event features competitions, live performances, and community activities. Competitions include youth and adult categories, with nearly $14,500 in cash and prizes, including a 1925 $20 Gold Piece for the Grand Champion Fiddler. Live performances are free to attend, featuring artists such as The Kody Norris Show, Pete Denahy, The Wyatt Ellise Band, The Tennessee Bluegrass Band, and Larry Sparks with Mary Rachel Norris. Special events include a Friday Meet & Greet, Saturday competitions, free music workshops, food vendors, and more. Attendees can also purchase exclusive merchandise, including a re-release of the original 1925 "A Fiddlers’ Convention in Mountain City" album. Admission is free for spectators, with competition entry at $15 per person, per category. The event is organized by The Kody Norris Show in collaboration with the Johnson County Tourism Office, with funding from corporate sponsorships, individual donors, and grants from the East Tennessee/Johnson County Community Foundation, Tennessee Arts Commission, and Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.
