Mount Judea, Arkansas is located in Newton County, in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. It sits on Hwy 123, southeast of Jasper. This area is known for its scenic beauty, outdoor recreation, and access to the Ozark National Forest and Buffalo National River. Mount Judea is home to Sam's Throne, offering breathtaking views, rock climbing and diverse hiking, from short 10 minute hikes to amazing views to hours long hikes out to the "Throne". The views offer spectacular fall colors. October 11th is a great day to come check out historical Mount Judea. The Mount Judea Heritage Fall Festival is happening that day from 10am-3pm and there is quite the agenda to enjoy (see flyer below). Besides the hiking and the festival activities, the Mt. Judea Mercantile will be open all day and Shelly Beth’s Fried Pies, LLC will be there with her FAMOUS fried pies. It's worth the drive!!!
