The Mount Airy Photography Club is accepting submissions from amateur photographers of all ages for their upcoming photography show.
The entry fee is $5 per photo entry. There is no maximum number of entries. There will be first and second place winners in each category. Photographers must submit their images to the Mount Airy Photography Club in the Arts Center at 215 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, N.C. between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm on Friday, April 10, or between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 11.
Photographs may be entered in either of two categories:
Regular Photography : This category includes landscape, nature, portraits, everyday life and other photos made with a camera or phone and processed with a photo processing program such as Lightroom or other programs for general exposure, cropping, color balancing, dust removal, sharpening methods and other standard photographic actions.
Conceptual/Abstract Photography : This category includes abstract images and digitally manipulated images( i.e. Photoshop) which transform, combine and add/remove elements to create a new composition. AI generated images are excluded and all manipulations should be done by the photographer.
All submitted photos must be ready for display and framed no larger than 16” x 20”. Photographs matted or mounted on a white mat board will not be accepted. Photographs printed on metal or wood will be accepted if they are no larger than 16"x20” and have hardware to hang the photo on the back. Identification labels must be filled out with all required information and attached to the back of each submitted photo. A sale price or value must be given for each submitted photo or each must be marked not for sale.
All submitted photos will be displayed from Monday, April 13 through Monday, April 27. No works should be removed before judging. All submissions will be judged on Saturday, April 18, 2026. All submitted photos should be picked up on Wednesday, April 29, 2024 between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
