MAZDA MAYHEM RACE
This race day is unique as we will have a purse for the Spec Miata’s and Spec 7’s main race. The day has a full race schedule for Vintage, Contemporary, Open Wheel, Karts and HPDE. Suika Circuit has had some major upgrades including safer runoff area and has a renewed surface that is faster than ever. Suika is very appreciative of our sponsors for this race day. We have Guthrie’s Garage, Torque Construction, Lux Drive Motorsports and the one and only. Our friend Mr. Bob Cockerham with University VW/Mazda providing the purse for the top three finishers in the main race. Purse amounts will be dependent on the car count

Requirements to Qualify for SM and Spec 7 Purse
SM Legal Race Car at proper weight
2025 Suika, NASA or SCCA Annual Tech Inspection
Falken Azenis Tires 615s or 660s (Slick are allowed for Spec-7 only).
Tires rules for the Mazda Mayhem
One new set of the Falken Azenis will be marked that will be
the tires you must use for the sprint race and main race.
You are allowed to use other new or used Falken Azenis for
practices, qualifying or other races as you wish.

Super Cup Classes:
Spec Miata - This class is only for spec miata from the 1990-1997 “NA” and 1999-2005 “NB.” Please read all SCCA requirements for racing Spec Miata. Drivers must have completed the Suika Competition School or have a current race license honored throught the SCCA or Vintage Motor Council.
Spec 7 - Are based on the 79-85 year model Mazda RX-7s equipped with the 12A rotary motor.
Legends - are race cars with body shells are 5/8-scale replicas of American automobiles from the 1930s and 1940s, powered by Yamaha engines. The worldwide sanctioning body for legends car racing is INEX. Please refer to their spec requirements. Drivers must have completed the Suika Competition School or have a current race license honored through the SCCA or Vintage Motor Council.
Vintage - If you have a car 1989 and older, feel free to enter. This class is for the older vehicles who aren't big into rubbing bumpers due to their classic status. Drivers must have completed the Suika Competition School or have a current race license honored throught the SCCA or Vintage Motor Council.
Karts - These are not your standard recreational go-karts. Shifter Karts are intended to reach speeds exceeding 100 mph.
Street - Is our Power to Weight ratio class. Drivers are restricted to a 200tw tire or greater. Car classification is based upon a power to weight system. Vehicles will be classed based on their RACE WEIGHT (the weight of the vehicle with all fluids and driver) divided by their peak WHP (Weight/WHP=Class). Drivers must have completed the Suika Competition School or have a current race license honored through the SCCA or Vintage Motor Council.

A: 09.99 and below
B: 10.00 to 13.99
C: 14.00 to 17.99
D: 18.00 and up

Super Lap Classes:
Drivers do not need to complete a school.

Test n' Tune - Gates Open Friday 2:00PM. Drivers meet will be at 2:45PM.
Super Lap & Super Cup - Driver's meeting to be held Sat and Sun at 8:30AM.

Spectator Tickets can be purchased on suikacircuit.com. Kids under 6 yrs old are free.

This is a championship series based on a 160-point system.
Points are awarded to drivers based on the fastest lap times and race finishes.
Super Lap participants must have an approved lap timer or rent a transponder for $20. Please head to abqsuperlap.com to read up.
