The Bloomington Kiwanis Club will host its 17th annual Flower Sale, scheduled for Mother’s Day weekend, May 6-9, 2026 at The Shoppes at College Hills, from 9am-7pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9am-2pm and Saturday. The sale is closed on Sunday, Mother’s Day.
The Flower Sale will feature a wide array of ready-to-plant annuals, hanging baskets and potted plants, as well as a good selection of vegetable seedlings all provided by fundraising partners, Wendell Niepagen Greenhouses and Garden Center and Danville Gardens.
The annual flower sale event raises funds for the Club’s local children projects, especially its signature service project, Camp Limberlost, taking place at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center. Proceeds from the Mother’s Day Flower Sale go to helping local deserving children go to camp. Each summer, since 1931, Bloomington Kiwanis now sends over 60 eight-to-ten year olds who have been identified as children who would benefit from a camping experience, to Camp Limberlost.
Other children's projects include Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, local Aktion Clubs, local Key Clubs and local Circle K Clubs.
