About this Event
Your lineup of comics:
Headliner #1 - Cathy Boyd
Cathy Boyd is a Toronto based brutally honest stand-up comedian. Known for her dry demeanor and punchline-heavy hitting, her act impresses audiences everywhere. Her most recent notable credit was an appearance on Season One of Canada’s Got Talent where judge Howie Mandel remarked, “You’re very funny. You’ve found your calling.”
In 2020 Cathy released her debut album Wise Tracks, which can be heard on SiriusXM She’s So Funny and SiriusXM Comedy Club as well as all streaming platforms. She has recorded for CBC Laugh Out Loud Radio. Currently, Cathy is a rostered comedian with Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Clubs and performed summer 2025 in the Toronto Fringe Festival!
Headliner #2 - Laurie Elliott
Laurie Elliott is a stand-up comic, Juno nominee, actor, and television writer. She won the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award and has been a four-time winner of the Best Female Stand-Up award at The Canadian Comedy Awards.
Her stand-up credits include Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival (where the late, great Joan Rivers chose her to perform on her final Gala show), the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Comedy Factory in Rotterdam, Raw Comedy Club in Stockholm, the SheDot Comedy Festival in Toronto, and a gala run at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival in South Africa.
She has had recurring roles/appearances on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial, CBC's The Red Green Show (where she married Harold!), The Jon Dore Television Show, Match Game, and The Debaters. Laurie's voice can be heard in many animated series, including Total Drama Island, Scaredy Squirrel, and Camp Lakebottom. Laurie was also a regular on WWF star Chris Jericho's award-winning web series, But I'm Chris Jericho.
Writing credits include five seasons of the Total Drama Series, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Rocket Monkeys, Camp Lakebottom, Fugget About It, Showcase's Almost Heroes, Disney's My Babysitter's a Vampire, Hulu’s original series Mother Up starring Eva Longoria. Laurie is currently co-showrunning a series for YTV called The Three Amigonauts.
Laurie recently opened for the hilarious Arsenio Hall, and he was a delight!
Hosted by Steph McLarty
Hailing from Collingwood, Steph McLarty has performed across Ontario since 2023 armed with dry wit & strange observations about everyday life. Balancing comedy, entrepreneurship and motherhood, Steph wears many hats - sometimes all at once. She's a bit chaotic. She's relatable. She's probably running late. Let's do this!
