A new running off-road race at the Adirondack Rail Trail on Saturday May 9, 2026 starting at 1130a. The Out and Back event starting and finishing at Bike Lake Placid includes a 5K or 10K option. Fun at the finish will allow everyone to enjoy a post-race celebration including food, drink, music and awards. Some proceeds benefit the ADK Rail Trail and Tri Lakes Humane Society.The race will feature a cup-less aid station/finish line supplying water and runners are encourage to bring their own vessel for water supply. One on-course aid station will be located at the 10K turn around near the Ray Brook Golf Course. Parking will be provided at the LP Firehouse snowfield lot near Bike Lake Placid.
A stroller and pet-friendly race will begin at Bike Lake Placid just after the start of the 10K event.
