This is an experimental event that will touch on the philosophy of yoga, it's mother tongue language, and transformation over time.
About this Event

This is a long time coming experimental event that will lead into a series of classes and workshops.

Mother Tongue is defined as the language that a person has been speaking since childhood. Yoga's Mother Tongue is Sanskrit. The people who began to spread the practice spoke Sanskrit - the classical language of Hindu. As it grew in popularity and across the lands the language that yoga translated to quite popularly was English.

All around the world people teach yoga in English. That's not to say classes don't take place in German, Spanish, Italian, French, Haitian, Korean, or more.

This event hopes to spotlight some of the other languages yoga is taught. Highlighting how Sanskrit and English can help those attending classes in other languages and still follow along.

I've been looking forward to sharing space on this topic for quite some time. And even though I'm not 100% sure what it'll blossom into. I'm grateful to have you on this journey with me.

There is no charge for this event.
