Mother’s Day Monday was birthed in 2024 from a vision that God gave to Geisha Wallace to create a space to honor and celebrate the mothers who are no longer here with us physically but who will forever remain in our hearts. These mothers have become our Guardian Angels. Through the organization 3C’s – Classy Ladies Communicate & Care, founded by Geisha Wallace and her friend Jackie Mundine, this event was created to support those navigating Mother’s Day after the loss of their mothers. Many people carry the pain of losing their moms, and Mother’s Day Monday encourages individuals to reframe what the day can mean. While grief is real and loss must be acknowledged, this gathering offers an opportunity to celebrate the love, memories, and legacy of our mothers while embracing hope. Mother’s Day Monday also extends support to mothers who have lost children, individuals with estranged relationships with their mothers, and those who have been blessed with mother figures such as grandmothers, aunts, mentors, or family friends. This event reminds us that even in loss, we can find purpose, healing, and hope. Through community, reflection, and love, we continue our Journey of Hope, carrying our mothers in our hearts while believing that the best is yet to come.
