About this Event
Whether you are mothering others, bringing dreams into reality, or minding projects, we are all in the sacred act of mothering ourselves through life. Through movement and community, nurture the unfolding of your own becoming. This is a space to soften, listen within, move in your own unique way. No dance experience necessary.
This is an unscripted, somatic movement experience —guided by breath, sensation, rhythm, and inner listening. We will explore what is present in the body right now - the tight, tender, spacious, fluid, ecstatic, wound-up and free places in the body, breath, and heart.
No dance or movement experience is necessary. Only a willingness to arrive as you are.
Gentle somatic practices and supportive guidance will be offered throughout the movement experience. Dance followed by a simple council circle for reflection on the practice.
ALL bodies and ALL levels welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Rubber soled socks recommended.

Tara King, M. Ed. is a dancer, yogi, Trained SomaSource LifeCycle practitioner, yoga teacher, recovery coach, advocate, mentor and women's health educator. With wisdom and understanding, Tara has worked with individuals, families and groups for over 35 years. Her passion is with women of all ages encouraging a healthy embrace of the body, creativity, fertility and the developmental phases of life. Tara teaches accessible, adaptable yoga and movement for every body and offers somatic, self-care classes for those transiting from maiden to mother and those navigating the heroine’s journey through peri-menopause. Tara has to 2 adult daughters and 3 grandchildren.
