This Friday, November 7, at the Greenfield Guiding Star Grange will feature the exciting music of Alchemy!
Alchemy is Rachel Bell (accordion), Karen Axelrod (piano), and Eric Martin (violin, viola, foot percussion).
They will be playing couple dances (mostly waltzes) from 8:00-10:30.
The dance will be preceded by a waltz workshop, taught by Richard and Meggie. The tentative plan this month is a workshop that is beginner-friendly, reviewing box, left turning box, and twinkle with and without inside underarm turn, sprinkled with comments on dance frame. If only experienced dancers show up on time we can expand to more intricate steps as desired.

And finally, a brief announcement/appeal: We are so fortunate to have incredibly talented musicians play for Mostly Waltz. And, being a small dance and increased costs, the truth is that we have not been breaking even for months. Dance organizers and teachers volunteer their time and energy and even financially support the dance. Because of this we are changing our recommended admission fee to hopefully create a more sustainable structure for Mostly Waltz.
- Cost: $20 (for the lesson and dance or any portion you'd like)
- No one is turned away due to lack of funds--We want you to come waltz! Simply chip in what you can.
- Bring-a-friend who is new to Mostly Waltz (1st time attending) and you both get in for 1/2 price ($10 each)
