Don your finest flowing red dress and join us for the Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever in New Norfolk!Inspired by the iconic Kate Bush music video, this delightfully frivolous, free and inclusive event invites people of all ages, genders, abilities and dance skills to come together for an afternoon of music, laughter and community spirit.
A flowing red dress is required - but don’t let that put you off. Hunt one down at your local op shop, borrow one from a friend, raid the back of the wardrobe, or, if you’re feeling crafty, make your own. The more dramatic and windswept-looking, the better!
No dance experience is needed. We’ll learn the famous dance together before performing it as a group. There are no auditions, no judging and no pressure - just plenty of encouragement and the chance to be part of something wonderful.
Participation is completely free, spectators are welcome, and everyone is encouraged to join in. The aim isn’t perfection - it’s fun, laughter and the shared experience of a town full of people enthusiastically channelling their inner Cathy.
After the dance, we’ll gather for a shared afternoon tea. If you’d like to, please bring a plate of something sweet or savoury to contribute. Homemade or shop-bought, elaborate or simple - it all helps create a welcoming community table where participants can relax, chat and celebrate their successful transformation into a town square full of Wuthering Heights dancers.
