About this Event
Mortal Morsels
Lunch with the end in mind.
What if...thinking about death didn’t feel heavy, but clarifying?
Mortal Morsels is a lunch-based workshop that uses mortality as a lens to help you get honest about how you want to live, and turn that clarity into practical next steps.
It isn’t doom-and-gloom. It’s thoughtful, a little irreverent, and surprisingly energizing.
This space is for the death-curious, the meaning-seekers, and the quietly overwhelmed.
It lends itself especially to:
- Those who feel our systems leaves little room for meaning.
- People navigating transitions such as career, relationship, or identity shifts.
- Practical planners who want both reflection and real-world follow-through.
You could just Google “how to make a will”, or "what now"?
But, Google will only tell you what to do.
It won’t help you figure out why it matters to you.
Mortal Morsels will connect the logistics to your life.
You’ll have space to:
- Reflect on what matters to you.
- Talk openly about mortality.
- Begin practical steps like wills, directives, conversations, and legacy pieces.
Mortal Morsels explores several keystones of the life–death relationship:
- Rebirth & recalibration: Looking inward. Honouring what has shaped you.
- Loving conversations & practical power: Laying the groundwork for when you’re gone.
- Grief & legacy: Living with what we’ve lost and considering what we leave behind.
Lunch will be generously sponsored by Thompson Funeral Service.
The gathering will be limited to 20 participants to keep our space thoughtful and conversational.
