Based near Annapolis, Maryland, we formed as a band in November of 2016. Berchielli, Bradshaw, and Rupertus were coming off of extended musical hiatuses after their previous projects had fizzled out, and were honestly just looking to jam. Within 30 seconds of the first jam session, we knew we were onto something. The jams eventually started developing structures, and it was several months later that we decided we needed to find a singer. Once Orem came aboard (circa June 2017), the structured jams truly became songs, and we officially became a band. With that lineup, we went on to release the albums:
In June of 2022, we parted ways with our original singer (Orem). After that, we decided to play a couple of previously booked shows as a 3 piece instrumental band, and then go back to the drawing board. After several months of the guys composing some new music, Robyn Bingham joined forces with the band in March of 2023, and the current Hollowed Sky lineup was born.
