Zellij is a style of mosaic tilework made from individually hand-chiseled tile pieces. An art centuries years old, Youssef El Berrichi wll introduce this historic art still made in Morocco today.
In addition to learning about Morrocan tile, you'll get to make your own piece of art with tile pieces brought from Morocco.
El Berrichi is Director of Roots Academy in Morocco, and a professor of Arabic language and culture.
