Breaking the Story of Broken - Mental Health, Performance & Truth
About the Session:
In this keynote, Cory addresses mental health head-on. He challenges the stigma and shows how high performance and emotional honesty aren’t at odds—they’re interdependent. Through story and science, he equips leaders with the tools to create cultures of trust, sustainability, and authentic wellbeing.
The session helps normalize conversations around mental health, create cultures rooted in psychological safety, and move from silence to resilience. Cory also demonstrates how the power of story can be leveraged to support human sustainability in individuals, teams, and organizations.
About Cory:
Cory Richards has walked the professional, physical, and emotional edge of life — from high-school dropout, surviving addiction, homelessness, and a near-fatal avalanche to professional athlete, navigating bipolar disorder, summiting Everest without oxygen, and being featured on the cover of National Geographic. Through his lens and life, he has come back with something bigger than a story: perspective and the skills to embrace disruption and fuel meaningful transformation. Cory lays bare the struggles of his own life to inspire others, using the power of storytelling to help individuals and organizations alike navigate life with resilience, meaning, and agency — transforming lives, leadership, culture, and performance.
