Morning Raag with Anagha Bhat

In the Hindustani classical tradition, the unfolding of a raga is closely connected to the time of day. The early morning hours, quiet, unhurried, and contemplative, hold a unique space for ragas that evoke introspection and a sense of calm.

This recital will explore khayal repertoire traditionally rendered at dawn, allowing each raga to unfold gradually.

An intimate morning of music that encourages deep listening and a thoughtful beginning to the day.

Anagha will be accompanied by Dr Sagar Bharathraj on the tabla and Prasad Kamath on the harmonium.
