Next week!Morning Professional Training
Dynamite by Natalia Vallebona - Poetic Punkers
8/09 to 12/09 (Monday to Friday)
10h to 11h30
What is it?
Dynamite is a morning training led by Natalia Vallebona. it's rooted in the personal research she’s been developing since 2013 with the collective Poetic Punkers, where she explores the body as a permeable material, constantly shifting and open to transformation.
“My practice encourages participants to approach the body as a perfect, productive, operational, and thinking machine.”
The class runs for two hours each day and focuses on contemporary dance and floorwork. Natalia’s approach explores the use of body weight, awareness of the center, the mechanics of falling, spiral pathways, momentum, and how to manage physical risk through tumbling and vertical movement. Imbalance, tricks, wave motion, and the circulation of movement all become part of the daily investigation.
Natalia blends the virtuosity and explosiveness of breakdance with the fluidity of contemporary dance to build a richly textured movement vocabulary: the result is a dance that is silent, highly technical, and unpredictable.
Each class offers research through improvisation tasks and choreographic material, encouraging dancers to explore both structure and freedom.
About Natalia Vallebona
Natalia’s background spans both raw, underground dance cultures and the structured world of contemporary European performance. She has trained and worked with artists such as Emilio Sgalambro, b-boy storm, and the C2P crew in Paris, as well as established contemporary dance figures and companies across Europe.
Her artistic practice merges the energy of hip hop with theatrical depth, aiming to find a meeting point between poetry and punk. her movement language is powerful, virtuosic, and emotionally driven—serving a physical dramaturgy inspired by the chaos and complexity of contemporary life.
As a performer, she has collaborated with La Fura del Baus, Thierry Verger, Gabriella Maiorino, Balletto Civile, C&C Company, Ben Fury, Quan Bui Ngoc, and Alì & Hedi Thabet, among many others. Since 2013, she’s been invited to teach at leading European institutions including Charleroi Danse, Teatro Stabile di Torino, Codarts, Cirko Vertigo, Micadanses Paris, Accademia Teatro Dimitri, WAYS Training, Carreau du Temple, Dance Centrum Jette, and Teatro Basilica.
Poetic Punkers
Poetic Punkers is a collective founded in Brussels in 2014, co-directed by Natalia Vallebona and Faustino Blanchut. They create interdisciplinary performance works that blend contemporary dance and physical theatre, driven by the expressive power and physical virtuosity of the performer. Their work centers the dancing body as a tool for dissecting theatrical imagery and building raw, embodied narratives.
Natalia and Faustino live and work nomadically, a way of life born out of circumstance rather than strategy, that allows their projects to travel and grow across borders. Over the years, they’ve built a strong network of partnerships in Italy, France, Switzerland, and Belgium, collaborating with theaters and festivals that support their evolving research.
Their work has been presented internationally in Italy, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Portugal, China, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. Appearances include ACT Festival (Portugal), Oriente Occidente Dance Festival, Mirabilia, WDDTF Seoul, the UNESCO ITI Congress (UAE), Xichang and Hainan (China), Aboundance (Sweden), Festival Resistere e Creare, COCQU’Arts (Belgium), Teatro Dimitri (Switzerland), Teatro Bellini (Naples), Teatro Stabile Friuli Venezia Giulia, Fuori Luogo, Fuori Formato, Danza Urbana Bologna, Generazione X, Les Riches-Claires, Onze Bouge (France), On Move Festival (Leipzig), Piccolo Bellini, Teatro Basilica, and more.
