October 16th at The Rose Bowl brings the triumphant return of Urbana’s prodigal son, Morgan Orion, joined by his famed local incarnation of The Afterburners backing band - Paul Kotheimer on upright bass, Nick Stine on lead guitar and Dave Pride on drums. Morgan & the band bring a kind of greatest hits show to the table of his signature brand of off-kilter feel good folk tunes peppered selectively with rock and/or roll. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll wonder why it took so long for these Afterburners to get back together and do this.

Ticketless Traveler (Mahomet/Urbana)
Morgan’s dad, Carl Reisman wrote poetry and made shadow boxes in the family chicken shed for years before being inspired by his son to put words to music. He has since written hundreds of songs about heartbreak, mosquitoes, seahorses, regular horses, hamburgers, motel pools and family. Carl’s last album as well as his forthcoming one are produced by Morgan. He will be sharing a short paired down set of folk/country blues tunes joined by Claudia on harmony vocals.

Turner Cody (Bloomington/New York)
A craftsman of song with an ear for language and melody that would make the heavy hitters blush. Turner travels to Belgium regularly to tour around Europe with his backing band The Soldiers of Love and is part of the Capitane Records Collective. He almost has too many records to count - check him out on stream then order the vinyl! Turner & Morgan met in 2014 and became fast friends/tourmates. The pair have just collaborated on some videos in which they cover one another’s songs, being released soon on Youtube.
