An evening celebrating Gloucester's Irish community
About this Event

Join us for a fun filled evening exploring the stories of Gloucester’s Irish Community.

The evening will begin with an introduction from Padriac O’Riain in Gaelic and English, and be followed by the launch of new film ‘ More Irish, more blacks, more dogs’ giving voice to Gloucester’s Irish Community. This will be followed by a Q&A with filmmakers Katrina McGonagle and Amy Freeman.

Jim O’Sullivan will also share his new book ‘Steam Catcher’ which draws on the history of the Irish community in Britain.

We will finish up with live music from James Rowley, original music in homage to his uncle, and the Crowley family band.

Traditional Irish fare will be available so please book your space here to help us manage numbers. We hope to see you there!
