As the nation prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, Perkins Center for the Arts broadens the aperture by asking, how do we define freedom? What does freedom look like? And does one’s perspective change the definition? As we journey toward this historic milestone, we reflect on our nation’s past by acknowledging and celebrating the histories and contributions that have brought us to this point, and to look toward a vision of freedom in today’s context. We welcome all photographers to share with us your interpretation of how you “Focus on Freedom.”
Artist Reception: Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 2pm-5pm.
