Van Morrison has left a lasting mark on Western music with a career spanning more than 50 years. He first rose to fame in the 1960s as the voice of the Irish blues band Them, delivering classics like “Gloria,” “Here Comes the Night,” and “Baby, Please Don’t Go.” In 1967, he released “Brown Eyed Girl,” one of the most iconic sing-alongs of all time.
Albums like Moondance and His Band and the Street Choir followed, producing favourites including “Into the Mystic,” “Crazy Love,” “Caravan,” and “Domino.” Blending Celtic imagery with blues, jazz, folk, and soul, Van “the Man” created a sound all his own.
Moondance: The Van Morrison Songbook is a six-piece revue led by Bruce Coughlan of Tiller’s Folly. He’s joined by bandmate Laurence Knight on bass and vocals, along with Adam Rohrlick on keys, guitar, and sax, Karen Graves on sax and vocals, Greg Stuart on drums and vocals, and Kyle Axford on trumpet, guitar and vocals. Together, they recreate the energy, soul, and spirit of Van Morrison’s most loved songs in a dynamic live performance.
