What is The Outsiders?
The Outsiders is a friendly bunch of freelancers, flexi-workers and small business owners who get together to walk, enjoy relaxed chat, and take in Edinburgh's incredible varied landscapes.
Find us on Linkedin here, and check out our joyful home on the web too: www.theoutsiders.org.uk
What is People Planet Pint?
Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more about what's going on locally with sustainability and how you can get involved. No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pint/s.
Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally.
Find us on Linkedin here, and website here: https://small99.co.uk/people-planet-pint-meetup/
Friendly dogs are welcome to join, however not all attendees have the same level of comfort with dogs. We want to ensure that everyone can enjoy themselves, so we’d like to kindly ask that all dogs be on the lead for the walk. If they need a run about, we will find a good spot with plenty of space for them to play.
Will I be able to do the walk?
We aim to ensure the walks are as accessible as possible and will do our best to indicate where they might be more challenging. If you have any questions about the route, drop us an email at [email protected]
🥾: Easy route - flat paths, suitable for all who can walk 5km comfortably
🥾🥾: Medium route: paths with some hills or uneven surfaces, still suitable to most, but not if you have any underlying injury or condition.
🥾🥾🥾: Hard route: challenging route that will be suitable for those who are confident walkers.
Conditions of attendance:
We do our very best to create safe and enjoyable outdoor community events, however, The Outsiders do not take responsibility for accidents or injuries. By attending, participants acknowledge that they do so at their own risk. While we make every effort to select safe and accessible routes, it is each participant’s responsibility to ensure they are physically able to take part, dress appropriately for Scotland’s changeable weather, come with their own food and drinks, and wear suitable footwear.
We also ask that everyone who attends these events do so in the spirit of the group. We have devised a Community Code of Collaboration which outlines these expectations.
