THE PERHAPS (MONTREAL)
In The Perhaps system, the people are presented two separate yet equally important performers: the Maïté Sinaves, who investigate characters; and the Alasdair Tremblay-Birchalls, who prosecute the zingers. These are their sketches.
NKASI OGBONNAH (TORONTO)
Nkasi is an alumna of The Second City's Mainstage. She was a member of Toronto Fringe Festival’s “Woke ‘N Broke,” which earned Best Ensemble from NOW Magazine. Nkasi along with her dramaturge, Ajahnis Charley were founders of Untitled Black Sketch Project, Canada’s first and only all-Black sketch ensemble. She has performed at notable festivals such as JFL, Montreal Sketchfest and NXNE. Her dream is someone from the Canadian Space Agency sees the show and hires her for something... anything. Please hire me CSA. Her Instagram is @nkasiogbonnah... In case anyone from the CSA would like to contact her.
POTATO POTATO (TORONTO)
Potato Potato is an award-winning Toronto Sketch Troupe that combines the talents of a diverse group of comedians to find humour in Canadian politics and climate change, fueled by a combination of training in musical and devised theatre.
Potato Potato’s comedy is current, political, and environmental, taking the opportunity to address the harsh realities of our time and laugh in the face of it all. Part political satire, part sketch show, and with a generous dose of dread about our planet’s future, Potato Potato takes the issues facing Canadians today and presents them with a comedic, oftentimes musical, spin.
Potato Potato was established for the 2019 Toronto Fringe Festival, with It’s Getting Hot in Here! (My Entertainment World Favourable Review, Chosen for Second City’s JCB Series). In 2021 they forayed into the digital world with You Can Do It/ Put Your MASK Into It! (Parton and Pearl favourable review) and Potato Potato Presents: Potato Potato (Nominated for The Best of Fest, TO Sketchfest 2022). They performed in Toronto Sketchfest (2023, 2024 [best of fests showcase], 2025), Montreal Sketchfest (2024, 2025), in the Second City Spotlight Series, and as the winners of the 2024 Sketch to the Death competition.
