Yin Yoga is a relaxed and mindful practice of sustained postures (up to 10 min.) focused on stimulating the "chi" in the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. This deep practice is gentle, yet intense, helping students to open the body while cultivating their ability to tune in and listen before surrendering to (rather than trying to control) their feelings.Yoga H'Om has all of the props we need for our Yin practice. Bring a mat if you have one, but the studio has some available. Dress comfortably and warmly. There is not alot of movement in Yin Yoga.
This class is candlelit, and concludes with a breathing practice and savasana accompanied by singing bowls.
No prior Yin Yoga experience is required. Come as you are!
