Woodlawn Neighbors!Join us for our monthly Neighborhood Association Meeting the first Tuesday of every month from 7:00PM-8:30PM.
Vision: “In the future, Woodlawn will be a place where people live harmoniously, respectfully, and in support of one another. The neighborhood will be a clean and thriving community… All Woodlawn residents will share and pursue the common values of health, efficiency, beauty, equity, and justice.”
As a neighborhood association, we seek to create a thriving, safe, and connected community of neighbors. We do this through monthly meetings where we invite timely and influential speakers and public servants to present to you. We provide a monthly newsletter and public postings with opportunities for neighbors to amplify our local voice and experiences with the City and decision-makers. We plan free and accessible neighborhood events to create opportunities for neighbors (people and business that work, play, and reside in Woodlawn) to come together to learn, volunteer, and connect. We engage in land use, transportation, outreach, policy, and development issues that impact Woodlawn. We preserve and honor the significant origins and history of our neighborhood.
We are completely volunteer-led. We often apply for small grants from NECN and the City and with the support of our local businesses, are able to do this work. It is our joy to contribute to Woodlawn in these ways and we are so grateful for neighbors who choose to engage and plug into WNA!
