About Our Monthly Grange Meetings
We are a non-profit organization and a local chapter of a much larger movement that includes both state and national Grange organizations. While we are rooted in our local community, we are also connected to a nationwide network working toward shared goals.
We meet once a month on the second Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
All are welcome, you do not need to be a member to attend. Whether you’re curious, community-minded, or just looking to get involved, we’re happy to have you join us.
WHAT HAPPENS AT OUR MEETINGS?
Our monthly meetings are a time to connect, collaborate, and plan. We:
- Discuss upcoming events and programs
- Brainstorm and plan new activities everyone can enjoy
- Organize fundraising efforts and community service projects
- Share ideas and welcome new perspectives
- Discuss updates and initiatives happening at the state and national Grange levels
These meetings are a great way to learn more about what we do and how you can be involved in making a positive impact locally.
WHAT IS THE GRANGE?
The Grange, officially known as The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry. Was founded in 1867, making it one of the oldest nonprofit and community-based organizations in the United States. It was originally created to bring farmers together for mutual support, education, and advocacy.
While agriculture remains an important part of Grange history and mission, many local Granges, including ours, have evolved to meet the changing needs of their communities. Today, Granges focus on:
- Strengthening communities
- Supporting education and civic engagement
- Preserving local traditions and culture
- Advocating for rural and community interests
One of the ways our Grange serves the community is by supporting and keeping the arts alive. Embracing creativity in its many forms and providing a space where art, culture, and community come together.
