Join us for our monthly Support Orlando Shelters coalition meeting, held on the last Friday of each month. This April, we’re gathering on Friday, April 24th at 6:30 PM to continue organizing, building community, and creating positive public pressure for real solutions that support our unhoused neighbors.? This month, we are honored to welcome Kelly Martinez Semrad, District 5 Commissioner, as our guest speaker.
Commissioner Semrad has been actively working to build partnerships with nonprofits, community organizations, and local leaders throughout District 5 to better support residents experiencing homelessness. Her efforts focus on expanding access to essential resources like food, clothing, and shelter, while fostering collaboration across sectors to create more sustainable, compassionate solutions.
At this meeting, we will:
• Prepare volunteers to speak during public comment
• Organize community advocacy efforts
• Build collective pressure for compassionate shelter solutions
• Connect with others who are ready to take action
